Veterinary Hospitals Who See Exotic Animals
We are not affiliated with any veterinary hospital and urge you to use your best judgment in seeking veterinary care for your animal in need. We do recommend at least annual exams or more frequently if you have special needs animals. Don’t wait until you have an issue or concern with your animal to find a veterinary hospital. Many veterinary clinics are booked weeks in advance and you must have a good standing in order to get fit in if you are experiencing an emergency.
Since 2021 and the beginning of the pandemic there is an increase in wait times to get into veterinary hospitals to be seen. There are a variety of factors that have played into this pressing issue. Currently there is no end in sight to the veterinary medicine crisis. We ask that you please be kind to the veterinary team and staff. We urge you to be proactive in your pets health and not wait until emergency status. When arriving at an emergency room, be patient and thankful your pet is going to be seen in a matter of hours rather than days. Sometimes wait times at emergency rooms can be 5+ hours but understand they take pets in order of priority so think of the other families and pets that are getting care, they are probably as stressed and emotional as you are. Below you will find a list (though there may be veterinary hospitals not listed) of veterinary clinics we know see exotics on some level in Washington State. Please use your best judgment as we have found true exotic veterinary hospitals to be more knowledgeable than those that see all species.
